Have you ever done something so cool you wished you could’ve filmed it? Well, one day someone named Nick Woodman had this idea and came up with the GoPro Hero Action Camera. GoPro cameras are one of the most important investments you can make as an independent adventure seeker. When no one else is around, it can be difficult to capture footage, but a GoPro solves all of this. It may not be the best device for creating YouTube videos or content, but for the sake of saving and rewatching your favorite moments, it will do a phenomenal job.

I was lucky enough to have my parents buy me a GoPro Hero 3 at a young age. I am so thankful because I can go back and watch my old skiing videos or random videos of camping as a kid. From there, I got a GoPro Hero 5, then a 9, and then a 10. Through the years, I have gathered so much footage to look back upon, and it is so great to reminisce about road trips, snowboarding, and even fishing. A major portion of my entire life has become digital, and I think that is really cool.

Now, fast-forward to today, and the 360 cameras are one of the most impressive pieces of technology that we have access to in recent years when it comes to photography. These cameras are able to capture the entire environment and frame the perspective from literally any angle, ensuring you never miss the shot. This has become revolutionary for snowboarding clips, where finding the perfect POV has always been difficult due to standing sideways and now facing forward like skiers.

Have you ever tried using a GoPro or similar action camera?
