My 2020 Toyota Tacoma is currently at 140,000 miles. I have gone through many different build phases, which can be reviewed in this blog post. As my truck sits, I plan to add some more mods to finish out the perfect mid-travel suspension build. The front suspension of the truck is complete to my liking. The rear suspension is what needs the most work. View my current front and rear suspension setup in this post.

Focusing on the rear suspension, I want to add the Icon V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series RXT shocks w/remote CDCV reservoirs. This will then match the front Stage 10 2.5 coilovers with remote CDCV valving reservoirs. These run about $1,600 plus tax. I will then add the Durobumps rear bump stops to match the front Durobumps bump stops. These run about $229 but are well worth it. Eventually, I will need new leaf springs and plan to go with a custom Dobbins leaf spring kit; however, that will be further down the line, and these run about $450 or so.

The other portion of my truck that is incomplete is the front bumper. I still need to add a light bar and winch to the setup. These products cost a lot of money and are used at most once a year. Most people have these on their trucks, and they function as purely cosmetic because they are not using them. I do not want to spend $2,000 on something just to use it once a year (if that). I have been looking into a Badlands (Harbor Freight) 12k winch for the truck, which runs about half the price of the Warn Evo series. As for lights, I have not found a great replacement for Baja Designs that is a reasonable price difference to justify purchase. I would use a light bar much more than a winch. This could be a worthy purchase after the rear suspension is complete.

What brand winch and light bar should I go with?
